WTFJeans (wtfjeans.com) has launched their newest model of “smartphone optimized jeans” dubbed the V3, and it features their famous WTFPocket – a smartphone pocket on the front of the pant legs with a microfiber lining that cleans your phone, and adds two internal EMF-radiation shields, and a nanotechnology based treatment which protects the jeans from liquids and stains.
While the WTFPocket is optimally sized for the iPhone 5 series, it will fit similarly sized smartphones, and is now is integrated into the interior of the jeans, as opposed to simply being sewn to the front as in the prior versions, giving the jeans a sleeker look.
These pockets (one per pant leg) keep the same microfiber cloth lining that cleans fingerprints and smudges as it is inserted and extracted, and because of the rubbing action of the cloth and screen while sitting and walking, your phone stays cleaner throughout the day. Perhaps most importantly, it gives you quick and easy access to your phone while sitting at your computer or driving.
The EMF-radiation shield consists of a very thin copper-based fabric, basically impenetrable by cell phone radiation which has been sealed in a plastic pouch, and inserted into a special pocket from the inner side of the jeans. This shield reflects 99.999% of the EMF radiation away from your body, but since it only blocks the radiation from one side of the phone, signal strength is unaffected.
They have also added pockets for your hands in this model, along with many smaller refinements from prior models, like custom concave buttons, bright orange text and stitching inside, design enhancements, and so on.
Last but certainly not least, they have incorporated a nanotechnology based treatment throughout the jeans that repels water, coffee, wine – basically any liquid, even oil…so a bike ride in light Seattle rain, and a messy cheeseburger lunch will still have you showing up to work clean and dry.
The V3 model costs 127 Euros plus shipping, is available in regular and custom sizes, and can even be further personalized with your name and /or message printed inside.
