Blogger Michael M calls things as they are, and when he first thought that “bass players who use their fingers as opposed to a pick look like they’re tickling hairy dogs”, his imagination just took off with it. Michael succumbed into a “completely pointless hobby” of photo-shoping different dogs into the hands of bass players.
The “Bass Dogs” image series are not even intended to look the least bit professional – in some of them, you can still actually see the bass guitars, and Michael says that’s exactly his favorite bit. Seeing how much people liked his “Bass Dog” series, and how empty his life is, Michael doesn’t reject a possibility that the “Bass Cats” could follow.
