A guy who loves stargazing already sounds like a jackpot to most of the girls – but how about one who can even spend up to 15 hours photographing the night sky? That’s exactly what we love Australian photographer Lincoln Harrison for. After his mesmerizing circular star trails photo series, he is now back with new works – streaks of star light, once again achieved by using long exposure. After combining this and a good use of zoom technique, Lincoln then layers two images together in the post-prodution process.

Lincoln goes to shoot far from any building and city lights, in order the get the best views of the night skies. “With no buildings for miles the sky is so clear and it’s amazing to be able to capture the beauty of the night’s sky on camera,” he says. You might remember that it by pure chance that Lincoln turned into photography in the first place: a couple of years ago, he simply wanted to photograph some stuff he wanted to sell on eBay. “I wasn’t planning on getting into photography as a hobby but a week later I had about eight lenses and all the other goodies, I couldn’t wait to get started. I’ve been shooting at least two or three times a week ever since, mainly landscapes, and star trails when the conditions are right.”
