Incredibly talented Italian artist Marcello Barenghi has a habit of creating mind-bending hyper-realistic mixed-media drawings that are sometimes indistinguishable from photographs.
While some of the drawings can be identified as drawings, others require sharp observation and attention for the illusion of photo-realism to break down. His attention to detail captures and replicates every fold, curve, reflection and shadow of his subject.
Not only is he extremely talented, but Barenghi is also extraordinarily open about his work, showing his readers how he creates his remarkable illusive artwork. He has posted numerous speed-drawing videos that condense a process that can often take 4-6 hours into just 5 minutes. He also shares drawing guides and art material lists on his blog as well.
If you like his picture of the 50-Euro bill, check out his video, where he shows us how he did it.
