I started this project for the city dwellers that I grew up with, whom for most parts really just live in their own little crystal ball. It was pretty mind-boggling how with so many strangers that pass by us everyday, we almost never stop to ask ourselves about the stories that they hold, even though every single one of them has a rich life in their own rights. So I started getting my friends (and eventually other strangers) to write stories for these strangers that I photographed, so I could do my part in giving a little shout out to these fascinating strangers, giving them a breath of fresh life, and sealing them in my memories forever.

Stranger #30: The “Godzilla” Stranger
She looks better from up here. I can’t see her face. It’s not that I don’t like her face, but I can’t see it, so I can’t be scared of it. I’m not scared of her, I just don’t wanna talk to her today.
And if I keep looking down like this, I can’t see everyone else. And everyone else doesn’t like it when I run after them. I know they don’t like it when I run after them cause they scream louder than when the other kids run after them.
But she never cried. She doesn’t play with us but she didn’t cry when I ran after her. She didn’t even move. She’s like Godzilla.
Tomorrow I’m going to tell her that I like her.
