Gogelmogel, an independent artist from Lithuania, creates witty stuff from mashup images to videos to street art and whatnot. In most cases mocking our perception of things, other times plainly comic, his creations always have a pinch of surprise to them. Why gogelmogel? “I always associated word “gogelmogel” with a mess, a hotchpotch, so I figured it would be perfect for naming all those different things – trash, mashup, experimental images, objects, videos or whatever it may be,” he says.
The artist stores his ideas in his “idea folder”, a seperate file where he saves everything that seems interesting to him. Every piece takes different amount of time to complete, depending on its nature, although Gogelmogel says he does like to rush things up. At the end of the day, the artist just wants the viewer to smile: ”I want to provoke him a little bit. I try to seek for universal ideas, that could be understood regardless of language or context.”

The Bag T-Shirt
“Maxima” is the biggest retailer in Lithuania. Maxima is the symbol of Lithuanian consumerism. For some ecological reasons, I decided to turn this bag into a stylish t-shirt.

This sign helps a dog to behave in a right and cultural way. Now every dog should know: do your thing only where you see a special sign, not where you want to do it.
