This is a beautiful story of two strangers. Wait, no – it’s actually the story of a woman who lost her iPhone and the stranger who wound up using it. Danielle Bruckman has spent a year reenacting the selfies of a Salvador-Dali-mustached man who apparently acquired her phone but never bothered to return it (or didn’t even know it was lost). The lost device was linked to her Apple cloud account, so all of his pictures were showing on her personal stream.
Danielle created a Tumblr blog called “My Cloud Pal” dedicated to a “journey through another man’s selfies.” Every month she would post an update on the twists of this unknown man’s life alongside with a hilarious picture of herself mimicking his selfies. She is careful to note on her blog, however, that she is not accusing the guy of theft – she say she lost her phone and that he probably bought it from someone who found it. She claims to have gotten in contact with him, so let’s wait and see what happens next!
