I am a huge Disney fan and have a friend who has NEVER seen The Lion King, so I planned a night to celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of the movie with some friends and wanted to make it special! This is what I did…

The Lion King 20th Anniversary – Movie Night
The Table (Lights On)
A themed snack table
Cinnamon Muffins
Grubs?
Petite Carrots that were to resemble little grubs that Timon and Pumbaa would eat.
Rafiki’s Simba Painting
Made out of raisins and craisins, I pieced them all together to resemble the famous artwork that Rafiki made on his tree.
Elephant Graveyard
These were the closest snack that resembled a dry bone. Perfect for the Elephant Graveyard scene! Pepper Chocolate coated Chex with powered sugar.
Worms In The Dirt
I put Gummi Worms into a bowl of Brownie Brittle. Nothing like fresh grub in the dirt.
Lighting for Dramatic Effect!
The Final Results
I used a few of my LED spotlights which can be set to any color and set it up to shine down on the table, turned the lights out in the house to really set the mood. It gave it a warm, sunset, African feel.
The Mood
I wanted the experience to be in my entire home.
