A dog who was rescued from a trash heap by Good Samaritan, Eldad Hagar, was placed into a forever home. Miley’s earlier YouTube video amassed more than 14 million views, and her story touched the hearts of animal lovers around the world. She was suffering from malnutrition, bloody sores on her body, and a skin disease. She was close to death, feeding on scraps, before being nursed back to health by animal charity, The Fuzzy Pet Foundation.
Miley’s recovery process included many medicated baths and antibiotics for her infections. She was placed on a premium food diet so that she could gain more weight and strength. Due to living in seclusion as a stray dog, Miley’s caregivers carefully introduced Miley to new animals and strangers to socialize her. Within a month since her rescue, Miley made a miraculous recovery and was soon ready for adoption.
According to Sheila Choi, Founder and CEO of The Fuzzy Pet Foundation, “Miley’s adopter was selected out of more than 500 applicants. We spent an inordinate amount of time screening applications, conducting interviews, and doing home-checks to ensure that Miley would go to the best possible home. We are happy to have given this special dog a fairy-tale ending. She deserved it.”
