Not a lot of girls would be happy to find out that boyfriends are secretly wearing their clothes, but sometimes this flamboyant behaviour can actually offer some purpose and meaning. And so it does, in Barcelona-based photographer Jon Uriarte’s portrait series The Men Under the Influence .
The series points out how much the relationship between men and women have changed recently. The Men Under the Influence shows of and embraces the new found balance, coming from emerging equality between genders. Seems like Uriarte tries to portray the need in men to keep up with the challenges, posed by the forwarded position of women. The gender relationships are becoming less conventional and more controversial, and this portrait series manage to capture this transition.
Still, all things considered, the bottom line is that no man should ever wear a skirt unless he’s Scottish or takes part in a good cause and that way sets an example.
