Lima and it’s surrounding villages are located in the coastline desert of Peru. Unfortunately, some people in this region suffer from the lack of potable water. Even though it hardly ever rains, the atmospheric humidity is about 98%. Inspired by this fact, UTEC University and Mayo Agency teamed up to built the first billboard that produces drinking water out of the thin air. The billboard has a unique technology that catches the air humidity and turns it into drinking water. The billboard has already produced thounsans of liters of drinking water,which equals the water consumption of hundreds of families per month.
